NIGHT LAMP · 3D PRINTED · THREE LIGHT MODES
Night Lamp
The light stays inside the body and leaves only between the layers.
The body is not a single shade: it is 3D printed as stacked horizontal layers. Every layer carries a wave along its edge, and stacked together those waves become one surface running the height of the lamp. The source sits inside; it reaches the room only through the gaps, in horizontal bands.
FORM
The wave is invisible
in a single layer.
On its own each layer is just a curved edge. Stacked, they produce a movement that wraps the body and drifts upward — and they leave the top open, so the light reaches the ceiling as well.
02 / LIGHT
Not a surface,
a scan.
Distance changes
the body.
Up close the gaps separate and the light breaks into horizontal lines. A few steps back the lines disappear and the body becomes one soft volume. The three light modes stage that same split through brightness: dimmed, every gap reads on its own; turned up, the body becomes a single volume.
Not an object
on display.
The lamp lives on a shelf, among trailing ivy and small collected things. It does not light the room; it keeps its own shelf warm and pulls whatever sits beside it into that light.
